The 11th Manufacturing Plastics and Rubber Industry Exhibition were hosted in Ho Chi Ming City, Vietnam from 9/21~9/24, attended by 220 companies from China, Hong Kong, India, Israel, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, U.A.E, U.S.A , Turkey, Iran, Australia, Germany and Vietnam.
The exhibition was organized by Ministry of Industry & Trade - Vietnam National Trade Fair & Advertising Joint-stock Company, and Yorkers Trade & Marketing Service co., Ltd. And the show benefits under the cooperation of, Chan Chao International Co., Ltd., Paper Communication Exhibition Service, Vietnam Plastics Association (VPA), Vietnam Rubber Association (VRA) and Vietnam Printing Association (Vinaprint).
With more than 11,500 professional buyers and visitors registered in the exhibition, and 220 international exhibitors from 17 countries taking up 500 booths occupying the5,000 sqm exhibition ground. The scale of the event is 25% bigger than previous event. The exhibition provided a great business platform for companies looking for reaching new clients as well as professional buyers.
The exhibit profile includes popular categories from Plastic Blending Machinery, Blow Molding Machines, Extruding Machines, Plastic Compounding Equipment, Plastic Cutting Machines & Cutters, Blending Machinery, Mixing & Refining Machines, Product Molding Equipment, Raw material etc.
During the 4 day events, both exhibitors and visitors were satisfied with the fruitful outcome of the exhibition. Most exhibitors claimed that they were able to reach their target customers and learn about the latest technologies in the industry; visitors were pleased with the overall presentation and content of the exhibition; most were able to gain the information and knowledge they sought.
After a successful edition, VietnamPlas have draw more attention than before not only in Vietnam but also in the country which is around Vietnam like Thailand, Cambodia, India, etc. Due to the overwhelming response, majority of the exhibitors showed interest in participating in the next year.
HCM Plastics and Rubber Industry Exhibition will be held again from October 24~27, 2012 at SECC center. It will definitely be an industrial exhibition that you can’t miss to attend. |

Over the past 5 years, the GDP growth increased by 15% per year in extended industry, 18.50% in manufacturing and services, 6.90% in machinery sector on average. There is also an increase of 22.16%/year in foreign capital investment area, 8.68%/year in national economic area averagely.
Plastics & Rubber-
Viet Nam expects to earn US$600 million by exporting nearly 2.5 million tones of plastic products in 2008, up 33 percent over the same period last year.
The country grossed US$92 million from plastic product exports in the first quarter of 2006, a year-on-year increase of 20.7 percent. The sector requires about 800,000 tones of PE, 700,000 tones of PP (Polypropylene), and 75,000 tones of PS (Polystyrene), annually. The primary suppliers of resins are from Thailand, South Korea, Taiwan, Singapore and the US. Locally-made resins, currently, meet only one third of the total demand. The industry is now planning to raise local inputs to 50 per cent by 2010, or equal to producing 2.1 million tones of material.
